The Indonesian Creative School (ICS) has officially opened the Universum Mensch Intelligenz (UMI) exhibition in collaboration with Goethe Institut. The grand opening took place on Monday, November 18, 2024, and the exhibition will be open to the public until December 14, 2024. This science exhibition offers visitors an immersive exploration of human emotions, the mysteries of the universe, and groundbreaking technological advancements, including artificial intelligence (AI).
The grand opening was attended by key figures of local and regional officials, as well as representatives from the Goethe Institut. The event began with welcoming remarks from the founder of Yayasan Laskar Pelangi Mandiri, followed by speeches from the Chairman of IGJBI Riau-Kepri and the Head of Region III of the Education Office of Riau Province. Another prominent guest included the Head of the Education Office of Pekanbaru City who was also the Acting Mayor of Pekanbaru.
The Goethe Institut was represented by Hartono Pangi, who called attention to the importance of international educational collaboration in advancing global knowledge in science and technology.
The highlight of the opening was the symbolic ribbon-cutting, officially marking the opening of the exhibition. UMI is part of an international exhibition series that travels across Southeast Asia and Europe, offering a platform for visitors to engage with the latest scientific research and technological innovations.
The exhibition is open to the public from Monday to Saturday, with visitors able to access it by scanning a barcode available on ICS’s Instagram page (@icspekanbaru).
