The celebration started early with our upperclassmen participating in a ceremonial flag-raising at 7:40 AM. Our students proudly took part in this important tradition which commemorates the significance of Indonesia\u2019s independence.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"text-align: var(--text-align); color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-b2ce6af-font-family ), Sans-serif; letter-spacing: var( --e-global-typography-b2ce6af-letter-spacing ); word-spacing: var( --e-global-typography-b2ce6af-word-spacing );\">After the ceremony, the festivities continued with a series of exciting games. The first challenge was a trivia quiz, where participants tested their knowledge about Indonesia\u2019s history and culture. Following this was a much-anticipated kerupuk (cracker) eating contest, which brought lots of laughter and friendly competition as participants raced to receive first place.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"text-align: var(--text-align); color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-b2ce6af-font-family ), Sans-serif; letter-spacing: var( --e-global-typography-b2ce6af-letter-spacing ); word-spacing: var( --e-global-typography-b2ce6af-word-spacing );\">Other memorable games included finishing the lyrics to Indonesian songs, trying not to pop the balloon challenge, arranging coloured bottles behind a box, and more. The winners of the games were announced on Monday, and various prizes were awarded to them. We congratulate all the participants for their great sportsmanship.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"text-align: var(--text-align); color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-b2ce6af-font-family ), Sans-serif; letter-spacing: var( --e-global-typography-b2ce6af-letter-spacing ); word-spacing: var( --e-global-typography-b2ce6af-word-spacing );\">Our kindergarteners had their own Independence Day celebration on Friday, 16 August, which featured a fun costume contest. Eight winners, one from each class, were awarded a special certificate for their creative and patriotic outfits. The rest of the day was filled with a variety of engaging activities that became an enjoyable experience for everyone involved.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"text-align: var(--text-align); color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-b2ce6af-font-family ), Sans-serif; letter-spacing: var( --e-global-typography-b2ce6af-letter-spacing ); word-spacing: var( --e-global-typography-b2ce6af-word-spacing );\">Both days successfully showcased Indonesia\u2019s national identity as well as the unity of our school community.
