Aristotle quoted, “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.” I am using this quote as my foundation for nurturing young minds. I am Lailani Lana Raton, a Filipino teacher who graduated Bachelor's in Elementary Education from Philippine Normal University (a prestige school for teachers in the Philippines). I also got a certification as a reading specialist at the same university. I am forty-four years old and have been teaching for twenty-two years. I worked at different schools in Jakarta, Tangerang, and Bandung. ICS is my fourth school, and this is my third year here. I will teach English to Grade six and prepare them for English Checkpoint. I was teaching IGCSE FLE and ESL previously. ICS entrusted me to be the Primary Cambridge Coordinator for this year, and my task is to monitor, train, and guide teachers to level up the quality of education in the primary department. Teaching is my passion, and I love to take the opportunity to serve both students and teachers.
